How to renew the SAP Router license

 

What is SAP Router?

If we want to access SAP system from internet, We have to configure SAP router in separate server.

Why SAP Router License renew required?

When we configured SAP router SAP provide a certificate with validity which is have to import in SAP router server on the basis of configuration. That's why when the validity come to expired we need to renew our SAP router License.

 Below Steps are use for renew the SAP License

 

Before starting the below mentioned steps, You have to  stop the saprouter service and confirmed it.

 

STEP 1: 

Create a new folder with the following name in your saprouter directory: drive>:usr\sap\saprouter\backup.

Copy and paste the file's path into the backup directory below.

certreq

cred_v2

getcert.cer

local.pse

srcert

 

STEP 2:

Run the command shown below to create a fresh certificate request.

Drive:\usr\sap\saprouter>sapgenpse get_pse -v -r certreq1 -p local.pse

 

Please take note that your Drive name will be substituted for "Drive" where you wish to generate a new certificate.

 

STEP 3:

Visit the website provided below once your certificate has been generated.

STEP 4:

Using your service, log in. ID and password for sap.com

Press Apply now-->Press Continue

 

STEP 5:

Open the file: <drive>:\usr\sap\saprouter\certreq1 with notepad

Text from this file should be copied and pasted onto the request certificate page.

STEP 6:

Choose the certificate text to copy, then create a text file.
srcert.txt in D:\usr\sap\saprouter directory

Rename the srcert.txt to srcert only

 

STEP 7:

 Run to install the certificate in our SAP Router.

<drive>:\usr\sap\saprouter>sapgenpse.exe import_own_cert -c srcert -p local.pse

 

STEP 8:

 The SAProuter credentials must now be created via a command.

<drive>:\usr\sap\saprouter>sapgenpse seclogin -p local.pse -O <saprouter user>

In the same directory, this will produce a cred_v2 file.

 

Verify that the certificate was imported properly.

<drive>:\usr\sap\saprouter>Sapgenpse get_my_name -v -n Issuer

 

Please restart your saprouter service after completing all the procedures, then check.
